Who supervises and personally evaluates overall activities of this Institution through the work of the VDS Assembly; approves and gives blessing for realization of decisions made on the Managing Board and Assembly sessions and in emergency and unforeseeable situations.

SECRETARY is a presbyter Vladimir Markovic who is in charge of the administrative work, coordination of all activities of the sectors and sub-committees at the churches in the Archiepiscopate, and keeping the relationship with similar non governmental organisations in the country and abroad.

OFFICE CLERK Mr.Ratko Kanlic, grad.teologist, who assists the Secretary and schedules all the activities.

The deceased Arehpriest-staurophor Ljubodrag Petrovic, who was the Secretary of VDS for many years, and was a spiritual father and advisor.

MANAGING BOARD consists of the selected persons of both genders, Orthodox Christians, who are allocated in the sectors of this Institution according to the specific criteria, profession and affinity. The Managing Board is an operational body which implements all decisions of His Holiness related to VDS and its scope of work, as well as the decisions of the Assembly, which were previously approved by the VDS President- His Holiness Patriarch. It collects information from our ecclesiastic community and monitors religious and spiritual events in our Archiepiscopate. MB is ready to help to the parish sub-committees in all issues related to the VDS competence and programme, including organization of religious education and catechumenal education in parochial churches; provision of medicines and health and legal services, and support to the poor, refugees and forced migrants; help in solving family and marital problems, as well as the issues related to raising of children. For this type of the work, a serious cooperation between priests and all members of the sub-committees is required.

THE ASSEMBLEY is the highest body of VDS, which is convoked and opened by His Holiness Patriarch at least once a year subject to the conditions and requirements. The Assembly is in charge of ensuring good and comprehensive work of VDS and responding to the basic organizational, financial and development requirements of this Institution. At its meetings, it makes decisions that shall stimulate life and work of VDS, for the benefit of the faithful of our Archiepiscopate and needy people. The Assembly is responsible to ensure proper working conditions which will enable implementation of decisions.

The Assembly includes: President, Secretary of VDS , members of VDS MB , Secretary of ЕMB and Church Court , archpriests deputies, heads of all churches and representatives of parish sub-committees and monasteries in the Archiepiscopate.
There are 8 sectors. Each sector has its head - work leader with assistants whose number in each sector varies, ranging between 10 and 15. Sector members are volunteers and all services provided by them are free.
